Even very young puppies can learn quickly.  In fact, it is much easier to teach a new puppy good behavior from the start than to undo bad habits.

Housebreaking and nipping seem to be the greatest concerns of new puppy owners.  New puppy owners are given lots of information from a wide variety of sources about how to solve these problems. At in the dog's house, a systematic process is used that is tailored to your puppy's personality and your lifestyle.  This is effective and easy to implement.

Even 8 weeks is not too young to start obedience training.  You will be amazed at how quickly your puppy can learn sit/stay, down/stay, and coming when called.  Lessons learned at an early age really stay with your puppy as he matures.

We will also spend time discussing basic puppy care, especially for owners who are new to puppy-ownership.  We will review such issues as grooming, socialization, suitable toys, exercise needs, sleeping through the night and great games to play with your puppy.  You will know what will work best for your puppy.

We can work on problem prevention.  Preventing house destruction can save you literally thousands of dollars in the future.  We can also work on preventing aggression, jumping up, barking and shyness.

All the work we do with your puppy will not seem like "work" at all to him. We use light-hearted games, treats and praise that he will really enjoy.  He'll be excited when it's time to do some training and he'll understand more easily what you want him to do.

Many of the serious behavior problems in adult dogs started when the dog was a young puppy.  Train now when the puppy and the problems are still small!
